VCE Applied Computing (Units 1 & 2)

Welcome to the Year 11 Applied Computing course site for Iona College Geelong. This site is set up to mirror the Year 12 Software Development site so the layout, navigation, and publishing workflow stay consistent across your classes.

Course Goal

This study introduces students to digital systems, data, programming, and project work through practical problem-solving tasks.

Unit 1

Unit 1 can be used for your introductory content, class notes, theory summaries, and practical tasks.

  • Focus on fundamentals, digital systems, and introductory problem solving.
  • Add weekly lesson notes under the docs/ folder as the course develops.

Unit 2

Unit 2 can house the follow-on content, project work, and assessment preparation for the second semester.

  • Keep the page structure consistent with Unit 1 so students can navigate quickly.
  • Reuse the same page patterns from the sister site where they fit.

This starter site is intentionally lean. Expand it by adding folders and pages under docs/, then register them in mkdocs.yml.
