Evaluation and Evidence
Need a template?
Use the Final Evaluation Report Template to structure the evaluation strategy, criteria-based evaluation and project-plan review.
Evaluation Stage
The evaluation stage requires you to:
- develop an evaluation strategy
- evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the software solution
- assess the effectiveness of the project plan in managing the project
Evaluation Strategy
Your evaluation strategy should assume the software solution is implemented with the client, because actual implementation is not always practical and is outside the scope of the task.
Your strategy should consider:
- how each criterion developed in Unit 3 Outcome 2 will be evaluated
- what evidence you will collect to evaluate each criterion
The evaluation criteria focus on the efficiency and effectiveness of the software solution.
Evidence You Should Collect
Throughout the SAT, keep evidence that helps you assess how well your project plan managed the project.
This evidence can include:
- progress journals
- annotations to the project plan
- photographs of design iterations
- annotated drafts of diagrams
- annotated code samples
- screenshots
- feedback from users during beta testing
Presenting the Evidence
Collate this evidence as:
- a written report
- an annotated visual plan
