Course Scope
Units 1 and 2 cover data analysis, programming, innovative solutions and cyber security through the VCE problem-solving methodology.

Unit 1
Unit 1 introduces Applied Computing through two connected areas of study:
- AoS1 - Data analysis: use databases, spreadsheets and data visualisations to analyse data and present findings clearly.
- AoS2 - Programming: interpret requirements, represent solution ideas and develop a working software solution in an object-oriented programming language.
Unit 2
Unit 2 extends the course into innovation and cyber security:
- AoS1 - Innovative solutions: investigate a problem, need or opportunity and develop an innovative digital solution collaboratively.
- AoS2 - Cyber security: examine networks, vulnerabilities, threats and strategies for protecting data and information.
